All information you record inside the app — including incidents, descriptions, photos, videos, documents, locations, and outcomes — is stored privately on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Your entries, attachments, and reports belong entirely to you.
If you enable iCloud, your data may sync securely across your personal devices using Apple's encrypted iCloud services. SafetyNet never has access to this data.
AI Features & Third-Party Data Sharing:
SafetyNet's AI Safety Assistant uses Apple Intelligence for on-device processing first. For enhanced chat responses, the app may use OpenAI's services. Your explicit consent is required before any data is sent to OpenAI. When you consent:
• Chat messages you send to the AI assistant may be transmitted to OpenAI (San Francisco, CA) for processing
• Data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3
• OpenAI is SOC 2 compliant and does not use your data to train their models
• You can revoke consent anytime in Settings > AI Settings
• On-device AI features continue to work without OpenAI consent

SafetyNet does not use analytics, tracking, or profiling.
The app does not access your information in the background or without your action.
You are always in full control of what you save, what you delete, and what you share.
